Opening times: Monday - Friday 9am to 5.30pm. We not close for lunch.
Saturday: 10am to 12 noon.
Booking: Book as early as possible. If you are employing a caterer it is advisable to obtain a written list of their requirements to avoid any possible misunderstandings.
Basis of charging: The basic 1 day hire period covers supply on one working day, use on the next day and return on the following working day. Leave yourself time for laying up and for clearing afterwards. V.A.T. must be added to all rates and charges, unless shown as not subject to vat.
Cancellation/amendments: Cancellation of an order may be made up to 12 noon of the day before goods are due to be delivered. A cancellation charge of 30% of the hire value will be made after this time. Amendments to orders will only be accepted up to 2pm of the day before the goods are due to be delivered.
Delivery/collection:We will be pleased to arrange delivery and/or collection and prices can be supplied upon request. These charges allow only for off-loading and loading from alongside the vehicle, unless special arrangements are confirmed beforehand.
Deliveries and collections are normally made Monday to Friday only,between 9am - 5pm. If requested, approximate delivery and collection times can be quoted by phoning the office after 4pm of the previous working day.
All goods must be re-packed in the correct boxes ready for collection or an additional charge may be made. Table legs should be folded and chairs should be stacked or folded. Hirers should ensure that they or their representative are at the delivery/collection address, as a charge is made for any wasted journeys. It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that we can gain access to the venue for both delivery and collection of the goods on the dates stated on your confirmation/invoice. We cannot accept any responsibility for failing to deliver/collect your order if we cannot gain access to the venue.
Goods must be checked and signed for by the hirer or their representative on delivery. Please advise us immediately if the order is not correct in any way.
Collect and returns: customers collecting and returning equipment are requested to arrive at least half an hour before our closing times to allow time for loading/unloading your vehicle and for checking the equipment.
Please ensure when you are collecting equipment that you send a large enough vehicle for the pick up. If in doubt please check with us.
Payment is to be made at least 48 hours before delivery except when account facilities have been granted by prior arrangements. A deposit for non-account customers will be required against breakages on each order. This will be refunded by post after the goods are checked back into the warehouse less any losses which are charged as per the replacement charge column on the order confirmation. We accept cash,cheques with a bankers card, and most credit and debit cards.
All goods will be delivered and should be returned clean, otherwise an extra charge will be made, or goods may be returned dirty and we can wash them for 20% on the one day hire rate on the washable items only. Please ensure that plates and serving dishes have any excess food removed and glasses etc are emptied before repacking items in the correct boxes. Please do not return china or cutlery cling-filmed.
The hirer is responsible for any loss or damage to the goods, from the time of delivery until they are collected by the company's employees. Deliveries left at premises unattended by customers are left at customers risk.
Any item returned which does not belong to Hallmark Hire cannot be accepted back in place of our own equipment. All goods are checked at our warehouse and losses/damages are charged for accordingly. Shortages and breakages will be charged for at replacement prices shown on the order confirmation.
No responsibility can be accepted for either injury or damage caused by the use of equipment hired and particular attention should be paid to surfaces on which water boilers, burner rings, cookers, hot plates, deep fryers, hot cupboards and bain-maries are standing.
Barbeques must not be used indoors or in marquees. Use of gas cylinders not supplied by us may be dangerous. Proper ventilation must be provided for all cooking and heating regardless of fuel use.
Confirmation of all orders will be made by Hallmark Hire. Customers are advised to confirm that an order posted, faxed or emailed to us has been received.
Two forms of identification showing the invoice address are required for all customers collecting equipment from the warehouse.
